India New 100 rupee note (2018)

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), published a notification, informed that it will issue a new 100 Rupee notes under the series of “Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series” very shortly.

The new 100 notes will be lavender in colour and has motif of “Rani ki Vav” (Queen’s stepwell) on the reverse side.

For visually impaired, the new note will be "intaglio or raised printing of Mahatma Gandhi portrait, Ashoka Pillar emblem, raised triangular identification mark of 100, four angular bleed lines both on the right and left sides". 

Dimension of the 100 rupee bank note will be 66 mm × 142 mm, the RBI said in a press release.
